Churchill’s were impressive. I felt my portfolio was being handled personally and at a senior level. My purchases and Sales were handled with little fuss or delay. Systems and procedures vary in Dubai to London but it was refreshing to see the absolute trust between government and developers working in tandem. It seems unlikely corruption could get away with things in this country unlike backhome. I am grateful to Churchill’s in explaining all things from their own personal experiences. It was so practical. Finally I was impressed with several added value touches such as opening a bank account in Dubai with a British bank for me at no extra charge. Our UK portfolio is over £1.4million. When my wife and I calculated the nil-rate bands for ourselves the government took a lot of inheritance tax on our estate even with the benefit of a will writing service recommended by CHL-Properties. We were grateful for all the good advice given to us by CHL especially the tips around selling off several “ buy to let” flats we own. We transfered the funds to Dubai where currently its possible to get DHs1.2m apartments down to DH750,000 . We were encouraged that Capital Gains Tax had gone down from 40% to 18% on 6th April 2008. All these pieces of advice from CHL greatly prompted us in our decision to sell up our “ buy to let “ flats and build up a small portfolio in Dubai.

We were disappointed to learn that our £400,000 flat in London SE1 had gone down in value from 2007 prices to £350,000 by mid 2008. A major price correction . We decided to sell on CHL’s advice . It was predicted that by mid 2009 , the same flat would be reduced by another 10% in value . So rather than loose another £35,000 , we sold up and re-invested in Dubai where we expect to double our money easily in 3/4 years time.Thank you to the team at CHL for all your support .
